My favorite punctuation mark is the semicolon. And it's an apt metaphor for recent years of my life: it's more than a comma pause, not quite a period stop; it usually appears in the middle of a sentence; no one quite knows how to use it properly; it's a sigh of contemplation; a knowing wink; an upward glance of reflection.

The beginning
Honestly, I created this page just to see if I could make a second blog. And, apparently, I can. I thought I might want a second page since my motivation for creating the first one was sparked by change. Specifically, the change of having a baby. Well, the impending, increased likelihood that we're going to have a baby (the Jew in me will not tempt fate any further than that). So this page is meant to represent me as an individual -- separate from me as a husband and father. I'm not saying this me is more important, but I don't want him getting lost in the shuffle, poor little guy.
